445HighWhile CUSP: Designing into the Next Decade was in Sydney at the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre (CPAC), the first in a seven venue national tour, we caught up with Jess Scully to get her thoughts on what CUSP meant to both the local design sector and the community as a whole.

The presentation of CUSP at CPAC, as well as the public programs on Sydney Trains and in Object Gallery, engaged over 20,000 people during the two months it was open. This conversation with Jess is the first in an ongoing series of videos that will travel to each venue and discuss similar issues with someone local to that area.

Jess wears a number of hats, one of which includes Festival Director for Vivid Ideas, one third of the annual Vivid Sydney festival. She is also a curator, for the likes of TEDxSydney, and presents a two-hour arts and culture show on Sydney radio station 2SER.

Check out the video below to find out Jess’ thoughts on how CUSP and the ideas it presents might impact Sydney in the future.
